Understanding RMR and how it effects your fitness goals.

You might be having trouble reaching your goals because of a lack of understanding of your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). RMR is the number of calories a person burns at rest each day. Understanding your RMR allows ultimate control in managing weight. Your Resting Metabolic Rate is just like a fingerprint and is unique to you.

To better understand how your RMR is affecting your fitness goals, CFC suggests that you have your RMR tested. CFC now has convenient access to a new device which measures your RMR. This device is called the BodyGem RMR Tester.

Knowing your RMR can be the missing piece to the weight management puzzle. With this information, you now have the ability to precisely manage how many calories you need to eat as well as how many you need to expend during exercise each and every day.

The Body Gem, manufactured by HealtheTech, makes measuring your RMR easy and the size of the device makes traveling easy as well. This device is now offered to CFC Clients at a discounted rate by both of the Registered Dietitians (RD) partnered with CFC. The BodyGem can measure RMR in less than 10 minutes; all you have to do is breathe into the handheld device. The RD then gets a print out with the RMR measurement and they can use the information to determine how many calories are needed on a daily basis and how much exercise you need to do in order to meet your fitness goals.
